At Clearbrook you will find a modern, purpose-built family-run nursing home with great facilities and a warm, family touch.
Clearbrook residents and patients can enjoy the benefits and warmth of a family run business combined with professionalism, expertise and knowledge in the governance and clinical care structures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and best practice in clinical care. Clearbrook practices a simple philosophy in the delivery of patient centred care based on four foundational pillars
What sets us apart is that we care about our residents in a manner that creates a very kind, caring and homely environment. We have built our home on four pillars
Each resident is our top priority. Everything flows from making sure their experience and care is of the very highest standard. Our highly experienced and committed healthcare professionals deliver best practice person-centered care through individual care plans for individual resident needs.
A key part of creating a homely atmosphere is our wide and varied activities programme. This provides a platform and focal point for the all-important social interaction between residents.
Resident dining experience is extremely important. Our Head of Catering, in conjunction with our Dietitian, provides individualised food plans for each resident to offer a first class resident dining experience.
We take great pride in making the home clean, presentable, and safe for our residents and visitors. Our Clinical Nurse Manager leads a multidisciplinary team tasked with delivering quality and best practice in Infection Prevention and Control to ensure the safety of all our residents, staff and visitors.
“The staff here really make the effort to look after me, whether that is making sure I get the healthcare I need or just making sure there is no butter on my toast!”
Catherine, Clearbrook Resident
“To be honest, it was a big decision and we were all nervous about how it would work out. But Mam loves it here and it’s great to see her so happy.”
Anthony, Resident Family Member
Clearbrook Nursing Home is a family owned and run nursing home and for us that is significant, as we know nothing is more important than family.
My background and expertise is in the delivery of healthcare governance, regulatory standards and achieving best practice in healthcare settings means we are also highly focused on having the right foundation.
Our philosophy is simple, but in the context of a nursing home, it’s powerful. We ensure our four key pillars are at the centre of all decisions – patient-centred care, meaningful activities, excellent dining and commitment to infection prevention and control.
We constantly strive to deliver excellence in our four key foundational pillars as this allows us to provide best practice patient centred care in a warm, homely family atmosphere. We hire people who share our ethos, and endeavour to treat them well with the aim of providing stability and continuity of care.
Safeguarding the residents of Clearbrook is of paramount importance. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, neglect, or harm. All staff members are required to attend mandatory safeguarding training and are expected to act as advocates for the safety, choice, autonomy, and dignity of our residents at all times. It is the duty of every staff member to report any concerns and to uphold our commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all those in our care.
As a family-run enterprise, our priority is your family. The happiness of our valued residents and their families is the bottom line for us – which means ensuring that the appropriate resources are in place.
That’s the Clearbrook difference.
Every aspect of my role is centred on ensuring that all residents enjoy the best possible emotional, physical and spiritual health whilst in our care. The provision of care requires co-ordinating a lot of moving parts to achieve the ultimate objective of best practice in patient-centred care. To do that, you need to have a great team. We are fortunate to have great people, but we put a lot of emphasis on ensuring that we do. Ultimately the determining factor in deciding on any course of action becomes quite simple – “What is best for the Resident?”
Director of Nursing is a key leadership role, responsible for establishing and overseeing a positive and focused environment to support the provision of excellence in resident care and activities in accordance with the best national and international practices. The role is also responsible for overseeing and ensuring the delivery of a quality assurance program to support strong governance, continuous improvement and a culture of learning at the nursing home.”
